Four kids make a mysterious discovery on their home planet that leads them to become stranded in a strange and dangerous galaxy. The holographic circus that entertains Neil’s young siblings is a replica of Chewbacca’s family watch from the infamous The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978)..

I know this show is getting a lot of hate due to the recent Star Wars upheaval, so I’m happy to say this is a step up. So far…the first 2 episodes don’t break new ground or are very original, but that’s not a problem as it delivers on everything well.
Again, nothing new, but it’s intriguing, and I’m excited to keep watching
The cast and their performances are excellent, with some of the best costume/set design we’ve seen since Andor, the writing, especially the hilarious banter between the kids, is good. It gives me some serious Treasure Planet vibes, and as someone who hasn’t enjoyed any recent Star Wars, I was pleasantly surprised by Skeleton Crew.
“For kids,” you’ve been putting it off
I hope everyone who’s even slightly interested, or has been frustrated with the recent shows, will give it a shot. Star Wars is made for everyone, and this one is no exception.
